About Us

Who We Are

We are a 501(c)(3) Community Action Advocacy Organization. We are a collective of Black women and men who want to restore equity and reliable schooling in our neighborhoods. We are moms, daughters, fathers, and sons working together to advocate for change for our young Black kids.

We believe that all children deserve access to a quality education, regardless of their race, zip code, or socioeconomic status. We are committed to working with our community to ensure that all of our children have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and inequality. We are working to ensure that our children have access to quality schools, that our schools are adequately funded, and that our teachers are supported.

We are also working to address the systemic racism that exists in our education system. We believe that all children deserve to be treated equally, regardless of their race. We are working to ensure that our schools are safe and welcoming for all children.

We are committed to working with our community to make a difference. We believe that together, we can create a better future for our children.

Specifically, we:

Advocate for policies that support equitable and reliable schooling in our neighborhoods.
Provide resources and support to parents and families.
Organize community events and activities.

Our Mission

We activate the minds in our community by changing the narrative with growth and stewardship. We believe that our ancestors dreamed of a world where Black people are productive, constructive, and self-sufficient. We are committed to educating, empowering, and inspiring our young adults and youth to achieve their highest potential, regardless of the circumstances or obstacles they face.
